Dear Alumni, Colleagues and Stakeholders,
Our Faculty, which brings together various disciplines within the humanities and social sciences, continues its path with an educational vision centred on critical thinking, original intellectual production and profound academic depth. Our undergraduate programmes aim to equip students with multidimensional thinking skills and to provide them with a solid intellectual foundation.
Our Faculty offers a comprehensive learning experience supported by core disciplinary courses, academic writing and research skills, field studies, and institution-based collaborative projects. Through this approach, our students strengthen their academic capacities while preparing for their professional lives as well-qualified individuals.
Our interdisciplinary research culture continues to evolve through collaborations that focus on making meaningful contributions to society. Viewing scientific production not merely as an academic activity but as a process that adds value to society, our approach ensures that leading contemporary priorities—such as environmental sustainability, digital transformation and social responsibility—inform and guide our work. Through international exchange programmes, we support our students in gaining diverse academic and cultural experiences. This multifaceted understanding of education and research constitutes the foundation of our mission to support the holistic development of our students.
Our Faculty, which unites theoretical frameworks with practice-oriented perspectives, adopts as its core mission the holistic support of our students’ academic and personal development. Our aim is not only to offer a high-quality learning experience but also to cultivate individuals who possess a strong sense of social responsibility, think critically, uphold ethical values and remain diligent and productive.
Following graduation, we wish for this bond to remain alive; we hope that our alumni continue to maintain their ties with our Faculty, sharing their knowledge and experience, engaging in joint production, and contributing to society as valued partners who sustain this academic culture.
Respectfully,
Prof. Dr. Erkan ATAK
Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences
